Tottenham Hotspur defender Destiny Udogie has had a mixed season so far, but there is no doubt that he is an elite prospect for the club.

The 22-year-old Italian is highly rated across Europe, and his agent has revealed that he will cost in excess of €50 million if any club decides to come calling.

Udogie has been an important player for the north London club, and they will not want to lose him anytime soon. He is the first-choice left-back at the club. It will be interesting to see if any club is willing to come forward for him with an offer.

Manchester City have been linked with the player in recent weeks.

Destiny Udogie agent on his valuation

His agent Stefano Antonelli said on TMW: “It’s the second year of an incredible experience at Tottenham, where he’s always played: talking about vertical growth is absolutely in line with reality.

“He’s a player who could play in all the top European clubs. With the conquest of the Champions League, next season will be completely different.

“The transfer market is always open in all directions. Now I challenge anyone to go and buy Udogie from Tottenham for a sum less than €50m.”

Tottenham will not want to lose key players

Tottenham are looking to put together a formidable squad, capable of fighting for trophies, and they will not want to lose their best players. The 22-year-old will be a key player for them in the long run. They have secured Champions League qualification for the next season, and they will look to hold onto their best players and build around them.

Cristian Romero has already been linked with an exit, and there is a high probability that the South American will move on. Spurs will not want to lose any more players this summer.

In addition to that, the Italian defender has shown no signs of wanting to leave the club, and he is clearly a key part of their plans. Therefore, the reported valuation of the player from his agent is probably just wishful thinking.

The 22-year-old has the potential to develop into a top-class player, and he will look to iron out the inconsistencies in his game in the upcoming season. If he manages to do that, he could be an asset for Tottenham.
