Agreement close: Best manager in London set to take over at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with multiple managers in recent weeks, but it appears that Marco Silva is set to take over as their new manager.

According to a report from Portuguese publication Record, the 47-year-old will leave Fulham and join Tottenham. The report adds that an agreement between the two parties is close and the move could be finalised soon.

Silva is highly rated

Silva is highly rated in the Premier League, and he has done an impressive job at Fulham. Former Fulham striker Louis Saha has labelled him as the best manager in London recently.

The opportunity to manage Tottenham will be quite exciting for him, and it is no surprise that he is ready to join them. Silva has previously hinted at his future away from Fulham.

They have a formidable squad, and they will be able to offer him UEFA Champions League football next season. He will hope to push for trophies with them.

Marco Silva could be ideal for Tottenham

The 47-year-old has shown that he can work with limited resources, and he is able to adapt his philosophy according to his squad. He could be the ideal manager for Tottenham. There is no doubt that they have a talented team, and Silva might be able to bring out the best in them.

Furthermore, he has extensive Premier League experience, and he should be able to make an instant impact at the London club. Even though Tottenham won the UEFA Europa League last season, they were disastrous in the Premier League. They finished just above the relegation zone, and for a club of their stature, it is simply unacceptable. Silva will be expected to guide them back into the top four.

It will be interesting to see if he can prove himself at a big club. Tottenham have more resources and a better team compared to Fulham, and he will be expected to push for trophies with them and compete in European football regularly.
