Rafale Leao might have a decision to make since Al Hilal are reportedly preparing to activate his release clause and cover him in gold to convince him to join. The star has routinely voiced his attachment to Milan and desire to stay put.

According to O Jogo, the Saudi champions want to further bolster their squad ahead of the 2025 Club World Cup. They acquired Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Ruben Neves, Renan Lodi, Aleksandar Mitrovic, and Neymar last summer. The Brazilian missed most of the season due to an injury.

Al Hilal have zeroed in on Leao as a priority target for the summer. If they really offered €175M as indicated by his contract, Milan would have no alternative but to hope the player turns down the proposal.

The Saudi giants will attempt to persuade the Portuguese forward by offering €50M per year. It’d be the same salary as Neymar. The winger wasn’t among the players pursued by the Middle Eastern league last summer because he was negotiating an extension with the Rossoneri. It eventually came to fruition after a long back-and-forth.

He has repeatedly reiterated his commitment and expressed his desire to stay for a few years afterward.

Our Take on Al Hilal and Leao

You never know when humungous figures are on the table, but it’d be quite the stunner if he decided to leave Europe so early in his career. He wouldn’t be the first to do it, though.
