Earlier today, Cristiano Ronaldo was rumored to have left Saudi Arabia following two Iranian drones attacking the U.S. embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo is currently playing for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League and has been with the club for more than three years. Ronaldo reportedly lives near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and was rumored to leave the country and arrive in Madrid, Spain.
Matches have been postponed in Saudi Arabia and around the area, like in Qatar, which is set to host the Finalissima between Argentina and Spain later this month.
Al Nassr were supposed to have a match tomorrow in the AFC Champions League Two Quarterfinals against Al Wasl in Dubai, but it has been canceled.
Despite this, it is now confirmed by reliable sources like Fabrizio Romano and the club itself, Al Nassr, that Ronaldo remains in Saudi Arabia ahead of the next Saudi Pro League match this weekend.
Fabrizio Romano shut down the rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Saudi Arabia in a private jet.
Romano's report read, "Reports on international media about Cristiano Ronaldo who left Saudi Arabia with his family are wide of mark. It’s a fake news as Cristiano is now doing treatment at Al Nassr training ground after issues in last game."
Al Nassr confirmed that Ronaldo is in Saudi Arabia with the team with a post of him and other players. Ronaldo and the other players are at the club facilities to prepare for the next match, which is against Neom SC on Saturday.
