On the other hand, Al Ahli enter this round after overcoming a tough challenge from Jordan's Al Hussein

Erik Exposito opened the scoring in the second minute, followed by a spectacular goal directly from a corner by Julian Draxler. A late penalty from Michel Vlap sealed the victory, marking the first time the Qatari side has reached this stage of the competition.
