During the week, Al Nassr defeated Arkadag 1-0 at home in the second leg AFC Champions League Two Round of 16. The Saudi Arabian team won the tie 2-0 on aggregate and advanced to the quarterfinals.

In their previous league match, Al Hazem defeated Al Akhdoud 2-1 at home with goals from Abdulaziz Al Dhuwayhi and Omar Al Somah.
