Inter Milan captain Lautaro Martinez has put club president Beppe Marotta in an awkward situation after his latest statement.

Per Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, Marotta’s desperate attempt to extinguish fire has not come to fruition.

‘Whoever doesn’t want to stay should leave‘ – a statement that echoes through the dressing room like a thunderclap.

Indeed, Lautaro Martinez was brutal in his verdict of the current situation at the San Siro.

However, little did anyone expect El Toro’s statement would provoke such a strong reaction from the Inter stars.

It didn’t take long before Beppe Marotta realized the potential consequences of Lautaro’s outburst.

Indeed, he directed Lautaro’s anger at Hakan Calhanoglu. But it was in vain. The flame had already spread beyond control.

Marcus Thuram and Davide Frattesi found themselves offended by the statement.

Furthermore, other exit-linked stars like Yann Bisseck didn’t take it well.

Therefore, a summer exodus has suddenly become a distinct possibility.
