Sky Sport Italia reports Atalanta are set to sign Isak Hien from Hellas Verona on a permanent €9m deal.

Transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio claims Hien will be available for La Dea starting from January 1, 2024, when the 24-year-old is expected to undergo medical examinations with the Bergamaschi.

According to the report, Hien will join Atalanta for €9m plus add-ons and sign a four-and-a-half-year contract until June 2028.

Atalanta need reinforcements at the back, given that Gian Piero Gasperini has been dealing with several injuries in defence this term.

Giorgio Scalvini was the latest one on Saturday when he was forced out of action during the warmup of a home game against Lecce, eventually won 1-0 by La Dea.

Hien, 24, had joined Hellas Verona from Djurgården for just €3m in the summer of 2022.

The Sweden international has played 44 games across all competitions with the Gialloblu who are currently struggling in the relegation zone in Serie A.
