The English defender posted on social media after the game opening up on his unfortunate injury that he suffered during Saturday’s win.

Newcastle put on a stellar performance at St. James’ Park as they ran out 3-0 winners against a good Wolves side.

Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon gave the home team a 2-0 lead going into the break before Tino Livramento added a third in second-half injury time after a sensational solo run.

But it wasn’t all positive for the Magpies with Kieran Trippier being forced off before the hour mark, Eddie Howe claimed that it was a calf issue while speaking after full-time.

“That is a concern for us. I don’t know how serious it is.” He said.

Trippier has now taken to social media to provide an update, claiming that it is frustrating for him.

“Great win for the team today. Frustrating to go off injured, hopefully it’s nothing too serious.” He wrote.

As he showcased on Saturday, Livramento will be an adequate replacement for Trippier should the defender be forced to spend time on the sidelines.

Currently eighth in the Premier League table, Newcastle still stand a chance of qualifying for European football as they prepare for their next Premier League clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
