AC Milan took care of business in a convincing fashion at San Siro last night as they beat Cagliari 5-1, pushing them deeper into a relegation battle.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) has their ratings from the rout, starting with the team’s overall performance and that of Stefano Pioli which both earned a 7 out of 10 after some bold selection choices.

The man of the match in the eyes of the paper was Rafael Leao who came off the bench at half-time and seemed fired up, getting a goal and an assist. Yunus Musah disappointed the most and was given a 5.

Christian Pulisic bagged himself a brace and got the same score as Leao did, while Ismael Bennacer was also very impressive off the night and was awarded a 7, partly thanks to a gorgeous assist for Leao’s goal.

The other positive notes from the night were Marco Sportiello (6.5) and Pierre Kalulu (6.5), who both did their bit in the defensive effort. Tijjani Reijnders got the same mark, scoring a screamer from distance to make it 3-1.

Malick Thiaw, Alessandro Florenzi, Samu Chukwueze and the substitute duo of Fikayo Tomori and Noah Okafor were awarded a 6. Matteo Gabbia (5.5) and Olivier Giroud (5) join Musah as the only strugglers.
