Tottenham target Dani Olmo could be heading to the Premier League ahead of next season.

The North London club have had an impressive first season under the leadership of Ange Postecoglou. The signings he has made over the past two transfer windows have played a big part in their success this season.

The Australian manager will push for further reinforcements in the summer and he will hope the club backs him like they have done so far. He is looking to further bolster his attack and RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo is one of the players on his wishlist.

The 25-year-old Spanish attacking midfielder has been a consistent performer for both club and country over the past few seasons. Tottenham feel he could be an ideal fit for their team. Olmo will provide competition to James Maddison for the number ten role and his ability to feature on the flanks will be an added boost.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano was recently asked about the possibility of him making a move to the Premier League. He feels there is a chance that the 25-year-old could feature in the English top flight next season as he has held initial talks with his agents about a potential move in the summer.

Romano said via GiveMeSport: “Yes, there’s a chance, but at the moment, I’m told that he’s still in initial meetings with his agents around Europe. He’s also not in advanced negotiations or talks because he has a release clause in his contract worth around €60m (£51m), so the price is already there. We know that Leipzig don’t like to negotiate usually. You have to pay the clause or nothing, like what happened, for example, with Dominik Szoboszlai at Liverpool last summer.”

While there is a possibility of him making a move to England and there is strong interest in his services from Tottenham, they will have to trigger his release clause worth €60 million to sign him. Talks are still in the initial stage so there is a lot of work that needs to be done if Spurs want to acquire the services of the 25-year-old.
