Carlo Ancelotti has picked his first ever squad in his new role as head coach of the Brazil national team, and has called up his former Real Madrid colleagues Casemiro and Vinicius Jr. and two representatives from Serie A.

Ancelotti is the new head coach of Brazil following a four-year spell with Real Madrid. The Italian gave his first press conference as head coach of the Selecao in Rio De Janeiro on Monday.

“They never called me because they already have a great coach. Brazil called, I am very proud to be here, because the history books show Brazil is the best national team in the world, having won five World Cup trophies. It is a huge responsibility on me to win a sixth,” Ancelotti said when asked why he decided to coach Brazil rather than Italy.
