A new name has emerged on AC Milan’s radar as they look for a central defender ahead of the summer transfer window in Zeno Debast, according to a report.

Milan were linked with numerous different targets during the January window as they looked to bolster the defence but in the end the only reinforcement to arrive was Matteo Gabbia who had his loan spell at Villarreal terminated early.

However, a number of different sources have since claimed that the management are planning to invest in a new centre-back ahead of the 2024-24 season, possibly to replace Simon Kjaer whose deal expires in June.

According to the latest from Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Zeno Debast of Anderlecht is the latest name that has ended up on the wish list of Geoffrey Moncada and Antonio D’Ottavio.

Debast is a product of the Anderlecht academy and he signed his first professional contract in October 2019, making his professional debut on 2 May 2021.

In September 2022, Debast received his first call-up to the senior Belgian squad for the UEFA Nations League matches against Wales and Netherlands, and he also made the World Cup squad.

At just 20 years of age and standing at 6ft2, Debast is already a physically imposing profile who certainly has the potential to develop further.
