Former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has been brutally sacked by Nottingham Forest, just 19 minutes after his side fell to a 3-0 defeat to Chelsea. The Australian manager launched an impassioned defence of himself yesterday and it appeared that his side had turned the corner as they pushed for an opener in the first half. However, two goals in quick succession after the break led to yet another collapse for Forest.
After the game, Greek owner Evangelos Marinakis pulled the trigger and sacked Ange, who was in charge for just nine games.
Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that after a series of disappointing results and performances, Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect.
The Club will make no further comment at this time.

Results have not gone for Ange and it is a shame because the straight shooting Australian has shown wherever he has been that he can be a success. Arguably the opportunity to return to management for Ange was too soon as he decompressed from a bruising but triumphant season with Spurs.
A number of Celtic supporters will think that Ange could potentially be lined up for a return to Paradise if Brendan Rodgers departs the club in the summer. The Irishman is in the final year of his deal at Celtic Park and appears to be coveted by a number of Premier League sides, should no deal be forthcoming.
