Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing under a new manager next season.
Al-Nassr officially confirmed the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as the club’s new head coach.
The Portuguese superstar finally lifted his first major trophy with Al Nassr during the 2025/26 campaign, helping the Saudi Arabian side secure the Saudi Pro League title.
Attention has already turned towards the new season, with the club eager to build on that success and strengthen their position both domestically and in Asia.
Another major managerial change also recently took place in world football, with Pep Guardiola departing Manchester City following an extraordinary spell at the Etihad Stadium.
Al-Nassr have now made their own significant appointment ahead of the new campaign.
Al Nassr confirmed on their official X account that Postecoglou has been appointed as the club’s new head coach on a two-year contract.
The Saudi club posted: “It’s official. Mr. Ange Postecoglou is the new Head Coach of Al Nassr FC. He signed a contract for 2 seasons.”
In the last three years, Ange Postecoglou has managed Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest.
The Australian enjoyed a memorable period in north London and guided Spurs to Europa League glory in 2025.
Tottenham defeated Manchester United 1-0 in the final to secure the trophy, ending the club’s long wait for major silverware and ensuring Postecoglou etched his name into the club’s history.
Now, the former Celtic and Spurs boss faces a fresh challenge alongside Ronaldo in Riyadh.
With Al-Nassr aiming to retain their league crown and compete strongly on the continental stage, expectations will be high from the outset.
Ronaldo and his teammates will hope that Postecoglou can build on last season’s title success and usher in another trophy-laden era at the club.
