Another unsatisfactory loan could be ended by Chelsea this month

Rumours are strongly coming out of Turkey today claiming that Hakim Ziyech’s loan to Galatasaray could be cancelled.

They Turkish giants apparently aren’t happy with his performances, and he’s not featured much for them in a disappointing campaign so far. He’s started just 6 games all season in the league.

Without any knowledge of the terms of the loan deal, we can’t know if it’s even possible for Galatasaray to terminate the loan unilaterally.

It would free up one of our foreign loan slots – but we’d then have to find Ziyech a domestic loan, or even worse have him in our dressing room generating negative energy.

For now, he’s ready to head to the Africa Cup of Nations for the rest of this month, and his future will have to be decided after that. We will know a lot more then about what his future holds. All we’re sure about now is that it’s not at Chelsea.
