Liverpool's 2-1 loss to Manchester United made it four consecutive losses for the Reds this season. Liverpool is now 4th in the Premier League with 15 points, and their record is now five wins, zero draws, and three losses.

The player who scored for Liverpool was Cody Gakpo in the 78th minute to equalize the game, but it wasn't enough to avoid the defeat as Harry Maguire scored the winner in the 84th minute.

A player who has started the season poorly is Mohamed Salah, and after eight Premier League games, the forward has two goals and two assists.

Liverpool's manager, Arne Slot, is under a lot of pressure from the Liverpool fanbase, and one of the requests from many fans is to take off Salah sooner if he does nto perform on the pitch.

In comparison to other games, Salah did not finish the full match, and the Egyptian forward was taken off by Slot and was replaced by Jeremie Frimpong in the 85th minute.

Salah created four chances and had a clear chance to score in the second half, but couldn't convert his chance. Arne Slot was asked about why he took off Mohamed Salah in the second half.

Arne Slot on Mohamed Salah's substitution

Slot talked about his team's performances and mentioned the chances Liverpool had to score against Manchester United.

Slot was questioned about his substitutions, which included taking off Mohamed Salah. Slot responded by saying, "I brought on substitutions to turn the game around, and they created more opportunities. But you don't have the same structure in defending and set pieces."

When specifically asked about Salah's form and his substitution, Slot reveals that he is surprised about Salah missing clear chances like the one he had in the second half.

Slot said, "I think after games like this it's quite normal that people are focused on individual players. After 4-5 games it was the players we signed, now it is Mohamed Salah: We have more than enough chances to win the game. Mo missed a big one, others missed big ones, and we are not used to this with Mo."

Liverpool's next match will be against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League. Liverpool's next Premier League game will be an away match against Brentford next weekend.
