TBR Football has learned that both Arsenal and Tottenham have been made aware that Brazilian star Rodrygo is once again weighing up his future at Real Madrid.

He had been convinced to remain in the Spanish capital, with teammates like Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe playing their part.

But Rodrygo’s concerns about his standing within the squad appear to have been justified, as he has started only two matches all season, with new head coach Xabi Alonso favouring Franco Mastantuono and Arda Guler.

Alonso is open to keeping Rodrygo but has little intention of changing his role within the squad. With Nico Paz expected to arrive in 2026 alongside other forward targets, sources have told TBR Football that Rodrygo is beginning to accept that his long-term future may not be at the Santiago Bernabeu.

But Rodrygo’s concerns about his place in the team have proven to be justified. He’s started just two matches this season, with Franco Mastantuono and Arda Guler getting the nod more often under new manager Xabi Alonso.

Alonso is content to keep Rodrygo around but has no plans to change his role within the squad. With Nico Paz expected to join in 2026 and other forward targets on the radar, sources have told TBR Football that Rodrygo is starting to accept that his long-term future may be away from Santiago Bernabeu.

Time for Rodrygo to leave Real Madrid

The 23-year-old winger has managed only two starts this season, even though he appeared nearly 60 times for Real Madrid last year.

With players like Jude Bellingham now ahead of him in the pecking order, it might be time for him to move on. And what better place than Arsenal?

The Gunners could use more depth on their flanks. While Bukayo Saka remains their top option out wide, there aren’t many alternatives behind him beyond Gabriel Martinelli.
