Could 19-year-old Turkish star Arda Guler leave Real Madrid already?
According to reports from Daily Mail, Premier League side Arsenal has contacted Guler's entourage with the hopes of signing the player on loan for the remainder of the season.
No official contact between clubs has been made as of yet. Arsenal is only monitoring Guler's situation before potentially opening talks with Real Madrid in the January transfer window.
Guler, who was signed from Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023 for a transfer fee of around $31 million, has had an up-and-down time in the Spanish capital.
Whether it's been dealing with injuries or not getting as much playing time as he had hoped, the Turkish star may already be contemplating his future.
Guler played a key role for Real Madrid last season putting in amazing performances off the bench as a substitute. This season, however, his situation has drastically changed.
The attacker has been rarely used by head coach Carlo Ancelotti, playing only 16 total minutes across Real Madrid's last four games. Given this lack of game time for a player with the talent that Guler has for his age, it is understandable that he is frustrated and would consider leaving for another club.
However, given the current injury situation at Real Madrid, Guler's departure on loan would not be ideal for the club. The attack is already thin with the injury to Rodrygo, so Guler could get additional playing time soon.
Real Madrid's next match in La Liga is Nov. 24 against Leganes before a massive Champions League clash with Liverpool three days later.
