Victor Gyokeres is considering offers ahead of his expected summer move away from Sporting Lisbon. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are reported to be in a race to bring the former Coventry star back to England.

Negotiations Start for Top Arsenal Target Viktor Gyokeres

An Incredible Campaign

Sporting Lisbon prized away Gyokeres from Coventry for only £17 million last summer. Under Ruben Amorim, the 25-year-old has quickly developed into one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe.

Gyokeres’ debut campaign at Sporting has been nothing short of extraordinary. The Swedish striker has registered 36 goals and 15 assists in 41 appearances for the club across all competitions.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the striker in recent weeks. However, the Gunners are expected to face serious competition in the race to sign him.

How Much Will Arsenal Need to Pay for Gyokeres?

In addition to the Gunners, both Manchester United and Chelsea have emerged as potential suitors for the Sporting Lisbon star. The interested clubs are now expected to engage in direct negotiations over the transfer fee.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Gyokeres’ agent Hasan Çetinkaya will have a “round of meetings” with interested clubs after Sporting’s match against Benfica on Saturday. An £85.8 million transfer fee is expected to be demanded for the striker.

Which Other Strikers are Linked With Arsenal?

Reports about Gyokeres’ potential move to the Emirates have intensified in recent weeks. However, he’s not the only striker on Mikel Arteta’s list ahead of the next season.

Ivan Toney has long been linked with a move to Arsenal. However, the Gunners are yet to reach an agreement with Brentford over their asking price for the striker.

Another serious target is Victor Osimhen, who is also on Chelsea’s radar ahead of the next season. According to the Evening Standard, Napoli are expected to demand the Nigerian star’s full £113 million release for a summer sale.
