Arsenal open to offers for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang?

It appears Arsenal are prepared to part ways with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang less than one year after signing him to a long-term contract.

According to Sam Dean of The Telegraph, the Gunners are open to offers for the Gabon forward and won't stand in the way if another club is interested in his services before the transfer window closes.

Aubameyang still has two years remaining on the contract he signed in 2020. However, Arsenal doesn't view him as an essential part of the club and are looking to generate money through player sales, Dean adds.

The Gunners are coming off back-to-back losses to open the 2021-22 season. Their next Premier League match is against Manchester City this weekend.

Aubameyang has 64 goals and 15 assists in 115 games for Arsenal. Before signing with the club, he played for Borussia Dortmund, Saint-Etienne, Monaco and Lille.

Arsenal have been one of the highest-spending clubs this summer after signing five players for more than £100 million combined. However, the Gunners are not expected to add anyone else before several players are sold.

The Premier League transfer window closes next week, leaving Arsenal with little time to make several big decisions.
