Amad Diallo has been a shining light of Manchester United’s squad since his breakthrough into the side in the 2023/24 season.
Making 33 appearances last season, the Ivory Coast international scored two goals whilst providing three assists, essential goal contributions as the team finished third in the Premier League.
With the summer transfer window in its final few days, links across the world are being made to players.
Marcus Rashford has been one of these, but appears to be staying at Manchester United according to the latest reports.
Now, according to 225foot, Premier League side Aston Villa have made an offer for Manchester United winger Amad Diallo.
The outlet have also stated that, with the Villans looking to boost their attacking options, they view Diallo as an ideal candidate.
Villa, coming off the back of a disappointing defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend, have made eight signings during this summer’s transfer window.
The most recent of these, Nicholas Jackson from Chelsea, joined the club just yesterday, although Villa do not appear to be done given their offer for Amad Diallo.
Should Diallo make the switch to Villa, he would reunite with Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who signed for the side earlier this summer.
His departure would weaken Michael Carrick’s squad depth, however, and may force the club to reconsider their options in the closing stages of the window.
With limited time remaining for this deal to be negotiated and confirmed, it remains unclear whether Aston Villa will be able to get it over the line.
Should Villa be able to get the signing over the line, Amad would be the club’s ninth signing of the window, and he could make his debut for the side against Hull City on Saturday 5th September.
