Young player Erin Baxter has completed a move from Aston Villa and will join Manchester United’s Under-11s setup ahead of the new season.

The youngster announced the move on Instagram, revealing her excitement at beginning the next chapter of her football journey after two memorable years with Villa.

In an emotional Instagram post, Erin Baxter reflected on her time with her former club before explaining why she decided to make the switch to Old Trafford.

“Well where do I start….. what an amazing 2 seasons playing for my club the mighty Villa, playing both with and against some great ballers and meeting amazing people along the way and making friends and memories that will last a lifetime, however the crazy football journey I’m on has thrown me an opportunity of a lifetime and I’ve decided to grab it with both hands.

“This will be an amazing new part of my already unbelievable football journey and I can’t wait to meet all my new amazing team mates!

“I’m so lucky to now be able to say I’m a Manchester Utd footballer and I can’t wait to join the other ballers at this club and hopefully have a great season.”

Baxter arrives after impressing during her spell with Aston Villa, where she gained valuable experience while competing alongside and against some of the country’s best young players.

The move represents another important addition to Manchester United’s academy, with the club continuing to invest in promising talent as they look to build for the future.

Baxter will now begin life in the famous red shirt, hoping to continue her development at one of England’s biggest clubs as she embarks on what she described as the opportunity of a lifetime.
