Atalanta Talisman Still AWOL As Inter Milan Transfer Saga Reaches Climax

Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman continues to be AWOL from training as the climax of his transfer soap opera approaches.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.

The transfer soap opera between Inter, Atalanta, and Ademola Lookman has dominated the headlines over the last week.

The Nigerian international very publicly demanded a transfer to Atalanta last weekend. This after Atalanta had rejected a second offer from the Nerazzurri.

Then, Lookman took things a step further. The 27-year-old – who had already scrubbed all traces of Atalanta from his social media accounts – began no-showing training.

There’s no indication that Lookman plans to return to training for Atalanta.

The player is determine to force through the move to Inter, as he believes that La Dea had promised as much last summer.

In the meantime, Lookman has left Italy, making clear that he has no intention of returning to training for Atalanta.

The last time that the Nigerian international was at Atalanta’s training ground was last Saturday, the Corriere dello Sport note.

There, Lookman underwent therapy on a calf problem.

However, since then, Lookman has been completely AWOL.

The 27-year-old has not told Atalanta where he is. Nor has he provided any sort of medical certificate to explain his absence, as Teun Koopmeiners had last summer amid his bitter transfer saga with Juventus.
