Ademola Lookman is one of five Atalanta players who were not involved in training on Tuesday ahead of the Champions League test against reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain coming up on Wednesday night.
Atalanta get their 2025-26 Champions League campaign underway on Wednesday evening away against PSG at the Parc des Princes, kicking off at 20.00 BST.
Lookman is still absent from Ivan Juric’s plans after his failed attempt to leave the club over the summer.
The Nigeria international has not played for Atalanta at all since the end of the 2024-25 season. Despite being involved for his country during the international break, Juric decided against calling him up for the team’s 4-1 victory over Lecce in Serie A over the weekend, claiming ‘I shouldn’t have to beg him to play’.
As per reports from TMW, Juric will leave Lookman out again for the PSG clash on Wednesday night.
Meanwhile, Atalanta are also without key players in Ederson and Gianluca Scamacca, as well as defenders Sead Kolasinac and Mitchel Bakker, all through injury. They are all expected to be unavailable for the PSG match as well.
PSG also have their fair share of absentees: Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele are both expected to be unavailable, as might former Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia after being forced off during his side’s 2-0 win over Lens in Ligue 1 this weekend.
