Atalanta yet to announce squad for Milan clash due to late defensive fitness test

Atalanta are yet to announce their matchday squad for the clash with AC Milan as there is a late fitness test for defender Berat Djimsiti, a report claims. 

As has been reported by the Italian press agency ANSA (via Milan News), Albanian defender Djimsiti is not certain to be involved for La Dea when they host Milan at the Gewiss Stadium this evening.

Their announcement on his fitness and the squad as a whole is expected around lunchtime today. He suffered an injury during the match against Torino on Monday night. He was replaced in the first half by Mitchell Bakker.

Atalanta already know that they will be without Sead Kolasinac due to a sprained ankle, so being without Djimsiti would be a blow for the Bergamaschi.

Milan have their own defensive issues to worry about given Theo Hernandez will need to be used as a centre-back again as Fikayo Tomori is the only fit central defender.
