Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has shrugged off claims he could be a Ballon d'Or contender.

The Spain captain insists he's not considered the prospect.

He said at today's Spain presser: I'm not thinking about that.

"I would like to win individual titles, but that is for Rodri (Manchester City) who is flying (laughs). All I want is to do things well. We have qualified for a European Championship that sometimes seems easier than it really is. I hope to have a good year with the club too, but I'm not thinking about the Ballon d'Or.

Anything that involves winning with your country is a dream for me. We won the Nations League, but this group aspires to more than that. Aim for the European Championship and I have 100% confidence that we will be able to do it.

"We have to go with the necessary humility to know that we have to give much more than the rest if we want to win."
