Axel Tuanzebe could join former Manchester United coach Kieran McKenna at Ipswich Town.

The centre-back became a free agent this summer after being released by Manchester United.

At 25, Tuanzebe leaves Old Trafford and will now try to build on his career elsewhere. That could mean a move to Championship side Ipswich.

According to teamTALK, Ipswich are ready to make a move for Tuanzebe, which could see the defender link up with former United coach Kieran McKenna.

Tuanzebe made 37 first-team appearances for United and captained at every level since joining the club as an 8-year-old.

McKenna would be signing a good player if he could only stay injury free. Ipswich will hope the presence of McKenna will be enough to persuade Tuanzebe to make the move to Portman Road.

Ipswich gained promotion from League One last season and they will be looking to test the waters in the Championship this term.

We would like to wish Tuanzebe the best in the future, no matter where he ends up. It’s just a shame things didn’t work out for him at United.
