Ayden Heaven is one of many Manchester United players striving to achieve success at the club.
Heaven, who came through the United youth academy, broke into the first-team in the 2024-25 season and has made 14 appearances since then.
However, his time at the club has not been smooth sailing with him incurring difficulties as he looks to build a reputation.
One difficulty the 19-year-old has faced is injuries with Ayden Heaven being injured earlier this year.
But, following news that he had to be stretched off in training, the defender was able to continue his progress towards a permanent first-team position with Ruben Amorim praising his performance.
Commenting following Heaven’s performance against Newcastle United, Amorim stated: “I am really pleased with Ayden. You can feel that he is improving every game.
“He is young, but you can feel that he has a good game, slows the thinking and improves during the game.
“He trained really well and, if he continues to play like that, it is going to be really hard to take his place.”
Meanwhile, the former Arsenal defender has represented England at youth level with Heaven making appearances for the Under-19s and Under-20s.
But, with him not selected to make senior appearances for England, his future international side still hangs in the balance.
Now, the defender has made a decision.
According to Simon Stone on the BBC, Heaven qualifies for Ghana due to a link from his grandfather.
However, the defender will not make the switch to Ghana with him expressing his desire to represent England at a senior level according to the outlet.
With his news now revealed, attention could turn towards Heaven to see if he can make the progress needed to attract the attention of Thomas Tuchel.
