Massimiliano Allegri and Cesc Fabregas have emerged as potential candidates to replace Simone Inzaghi at Inter Milan.

Per Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, the ex-Juventus manager is the front-runner to take a hot seat at San Siro.

Despite his previous ties with AC Milan, Allegri is a realistic option for the Nerazzurri.

However, the club’s priority is to tie Simone Inzaghi down to a new contract.

Appreciated by the board, Inzaghi will soon meet the club to discuss his future.

Yet, Al-Hilal’s mind-blowing contract offer threatens to undermine Inter’s bid to extend the 49-year-old’s deal.

Despite Inter’s optimism, Beppe Marotta knows he must prepare for the worst-case scenario.

It would be hard to blame Inzaghi for accepting a substantial €60 million proposal from the Riyadh outfit.

Therefore, Inter have started scouring the market for replacements.

Allegri’s experience and victories in Serie A have brought him to Marotta’s attention despite a rotten second stint at Juventus.

However, Fabregas could be another viable solution, even though he prefers to stay at Como for another year.
