Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly no longer in the race to sign Bruno Guimarães, but they are still on the lookout for a midfielder. One notable veteran they might target is Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich.

A few days ago, it was reported that the Bayern Munich board is planning to meet with Joshua Kimmich this month. His contract runs out in 2025, and since the 29-year-old hasn’t made any progress on a new deal, the club might have to consider selling him.

If the German refuses to renew, the club will seek to transfer him during the winter transfer window as FC Barcelona and PSG are closely monitoring the situation. However, if these two clubs are keen on the player, they face another competitor in the race.

Diario AS reports that Kimmich is a name on Real Madrid’s radar after Toni Kroos’s retirement announcement this week, which will occur following UEFA Euro 2024.

The other name that Los Blancos have on their list to replace Kroos is Manchester City’s Rodri, so if PSG see Kimmich as a top target for their midfield, it will be a tough battle to lure him to the French capital.
