Lamine Yamal may be seen as a target for Real Madrid following his controversial comments a couple of days ago.
When asked if a Kings League team, Porcinos FC, is similar to Real Madrid, Yamal said yes and detailed why by saying that "they steal, they complain."
The comment was quickly discussed in Spain and among fans of Real Madrid and FC Barcelona online. Many Real Madrid fans found Yamal's words offensive, and reports suggest that Real Madrid players did not take the comment lightly.
Despite the comments, a few FC Barcelona legends have defended Yamal after his words, and some think it's fair for him to express his feelings towards Real Madrid.
One Barcelona icon who thinks it is good for the El Clásico match is Andres Iniesta. Iniesta was asked about Yamal's comments and said, "It’s a comment to add a little spice to the Clásico."
Iniesta continued to praise the matchup and said, "Beyond the comments or not, it will be a spectacular match. We’ll see what happens. A lot of importance is always given to what is said, especially if it’s before a match like this. I’m not very up to date with the news either. Some people will say it’s to warm up the match, and others won’t like it, but what really matters is what happens in those 90 minutes. The Clásico goes beyond any comment from any player, president or director. For me, El Clásico is the biggest match there is.”
One FC Barcelona icon that was present when Lamine Yamal commented on Real Madrid is Gerard Piqué.
The former Barcelona center back is the founder of the Kings League, and he was in the same room as Yamal when the youngster commented on Real Madrid.

Piqué believes that Yamal should be left alone after he made his comments on Real Madrid. This comes after reports suggest players like Dani Carvajal will speak with Yamal due to his comments coming across as disrespectful.
Piqué said, "That they criticise him from Real Madrid? It is understandable. They would like to have a Lamine. Lamine is special. We don’t know how long we will be able to enjoy him. Let’s not kill him. In today’s football, you have to take care of yourself. All the players who are coming up now, experience football in a different way. But they take care of themselves. We have to accept it."
