The President of Barcelona says that there are “no new signings planned” despite links with Inter Milan wingback Denzel Dumfries.
Blaugranas President Joan Laporta spoke about the Spanish champions’ plans to Mundo Deportivo, via FCInterNews.
In the last few weeks, Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries has been linked with a move away from the Nerazzurri.
A big driver of these rumours is the fact that the Dutchman has a release clause in his contract. This would be for €25 million, and is active until the end of July.
Meanwhile, Dumfries also changed agents recently. Jorge Mendes now represents the Inter wingback.
Reports suggest that Mendes has offered Dumfries to Barcelona.
Meanwhile, there have also been links between the 29-year-old former PSV player and Premier League giants Manchester City.
However, Barcelona’s President has issued new statements on the club’s transfer plans. These come after the arrivals of Joan Garcia, Roony Bardghji, and Marcus Rashford.
Blaugranas President Joan Laporta replied “in principle, no,” when asked if the La Liga giants are planning any more signings.
“We have our squad. And the coach wants to integrate youth team players into the first team.”
“But no new signings are currently planned,” Laporta said.
