Amid rumors linking Álvarez to PSG, transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri, for Sky Sport, revealed the latest information, suggesting that the capital club could be seeking a No. 9 who fits Enrique’s system.
“Luis Enrique is a big admirer of the Argentine, whom he sees as an ideal profile to strengthen PSG’s attacking line,” Tavolieri wrote. “PSG’s management has been exploring the possibility of a move for several weeks, and Álvarez himself would welcome the chance to play under the Spanish coach.
“Although several English clubs, as well as FC Barcelona, have shown interest, Álvarez no longer plans to return to the Premier League, where he feels he has already given his best.
“The player has left the door open for a move to Paris, provided the clubs can reach an agreement. That said, a major obstacle remains: Atlético’s demands, considered excessive, with a price tag of up to €120 million to release their striker—a figure widely seen as inflated.”
