Barcelona starlet praises ‘so talented’ Man Utd prospect Sekou Kone after display

So far, he has featured in five matches for the Swiss side, with a total of 184 minutes on the pitch.

Following his latest appearance, Kone posted a photo of himself in a Lausanne kit on Instagram. The post drew several supportive replies.

Among those to comment was Mali international teammate Ibrahim Diarra, who moved to Barcelona’s academy in 2025.

Diarra commented: “Tienes mucho talento,” meaning “You are too talented”.

Kone also heard encouraging words from Manchester United prospects Jack Fletcher, Tyler Fredricson, Samuel Lusale, Ethan Wheatley and Bassirou Nkoto.

It was a show of support for the 19-year-old as he continues his first loan spell away from Manchester United.

Kone’s loan move to Lausanne got off to a rocky start after he was left out of their Europa Conference League squad.

The club did not last long in the competition, falling to Sigma Olomouc.

With their European campaign over, there may be fewer chances for rotation, but even so, Kone is still seeing minutes on the pitch.

Another start for him feels like it could come sooner rather than later.
