Real Betis striker Borja Iglesias will return to La Liga this summer following a mixed loan at Bayer Leverkusen.

Iglesias moved to the BayArena in January, after struggling for game time in Andalucia, but his impact in Germany has been minimum with no goals scored by the 31-year-old.

As per the details of his loan switch, Leverkusen have the option to make the deal permanent, with an €8m clause included.

Rayo Vallecano have been linked with a move for Iglesias as part of either a loan or purchase deal in the coming months.

However, as per the latest update from Diario AS, with Leverkusen making their decision, Las Palmas could now make a bid.

Both Rayo and Las Palmas will look to include a player in any possible negotiation to bring Real Betis’ asking price down to closer to €4m.

Iglesias’ current deal at the Estadio Benito Villamarin until 2026 with a transfer valuation of €6m.
