Bayern Munich are closing in on a shock managerial appointment this summer.
The German giants, who lost the Bundesliga for the first time in a decade, are appointing Vincent Kompany as their head coach.
The Belgian, who was relegated with Burnley this season, will take the reigns in Bavaria.
Per The Mirror and countless other sources, Kompany is the preferred choice of the Bayern board.
He will replace Thomas Tuchel, who was let go despite reaching the Champions League semi finals.
Bayern finished third in the Bundesliga, with Bayer Leverkusen winning their first league title.
