Bayern Munich made last ditch move for new Chelsea signing but his heart was set on Blues

Chelsea confirmed another new signing at the weekend and there will surely be more to come before the window is closed.

The latest signing was very important because they finally managed to replace Edouard Mendy, who left the club much earlier in the window.

Robert Sanchez arrived from Brighton and has come in to challenge for the number one spot. His arrival was not greeted with complete positivity amongst ALL Chelsea fans, but if Sanchez can get his early Brighton form back once again, then Chelsea have got themselves a very good goalkeeper here.

Even Bayern Munich made a last ditch move to try and sign Sanchez this summer, according to The Daily Mail.

They claim the German giants made a last-minute enquiry for Sanchez, checking in to see if his move to Chelsea was done and there was still a chance to hijack it.

The deal was not done at that point but Sanchez’s heart was set on Chelsea and his switch and seven-year contract were confirmed on Saturday morning.
