Last night, Atalanta were on the winning side of the result against AC Milan, and Raoul Bellanova has spoken about the game and the experience.

It was another case of Milan not being good enough last night as La Dea beat the Rossoneri by a single goal. A result, which in the grand scheme of things is not terrible, but after a year of disappointment, it serves as another unneeded reminder of the state of the club.

Once again, several questions arise from the defeat, mostly because the club failed to register more than a single shot on target, and the goal conceded was another lapse in concentration, something which has been a commodity.

For many, the issue of mistakes can be overlooked initially, but when the same errors are made every other game, it becomes a real deterrent. Speaking after the win, Bellanova offered an Atalanta perspective on playing at San Siro, via Milan Press.

How much is the victory worth?

“The hugs are the picture of this last period: a lot has been said, but we played two important matches. We have always trained, and work always pays off.”

New role?

“Let’s say I was a bit scared at the beginning and doing it on Leao as a man at San Siro is not easy, but it went well.”
