Beppe Sala has reportedly issued an ultimatum to AC Milan amid the city’s talks with Inter and the Rossoneri for the San Siro sale.
Per La Repubblica via FCInterNews, the Milan mayor has outlined the municipality’s final request before sanctioning the deal.
AC Milan and Inter have been in talks over the purchase of San Siro and surrounding areas for months.
Despite the club’s confidence in getting the deal over the line, the process has proved long and arduous.
Unlike Inter Milan, AC Milan have a backup plan in case talks with the city go sideways.
Indeed, Oaktree Capital is hellbent on building a state-of-the-art stadium in the San Siro area.
On the other hand, Milan owners RedBird have devised a ‘Plan B.’
Instead of focusing only on purchasing San Siro, they’ve thought about constructing a new venue in San Donato.
However, Beppe Sala has urged the Rossoneri to drop that idea as the deadline approaches.
One way or another, the resolution is on the horizon.
