Trevoh Chalobah

A Cobham graduate who has had an interesting career path so far. Trevoh Chalobah has gone on multiple loans, broken into the first team, been left out of said first team, and even been recalled from a successful loan to help Chelsea see out a season. This has come amid an ownership change, managerial changes, and numerous tactical shifts that have put him to the test.

Despite that, the homegrown talent has navigated it all to make over 300 appearances in senior football in leagues like Ligue 1 and the Premier League with 104 being for the Blues. He even earned a call-up to the England national team in 2025

Frank Sinclair

Another homegrown name, Frank Sinclair was a defender who represented the Blues for much of the 1990s, departing just before they started winning trophies again. He was a part of their rise up the table before the likes of Frank Lebouef came in to take the team over the line.

Despite that, he made 218 appearances for his boyhood club across all competitions and won both the FA Cup and European Cup Winners’ Cup as part of the squad.

Graeme Le Saux

Geaeme Le Saux had two stints with the London side. He left after his initial stint saw him getting subbed off too much, he returned as a Premier League winner with Blackburn Rovers. Once he returned, he never looked back, making the left-back spot his own until his late-career run with Southampton.

Overall, across two jaunts in blue, he made 304 appearances, scoring 16 times and setting up 31 goals. He made it into the PFA Team of the Year in 1998 and won multiple trophies while breaking into the England national team.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek

Another entry for a Cobham graduate. Ruben Loftus-Cheek ended up being a case of missed potential as every run in the first-team inevitably succumbed to an injury. He made the move to AC Milan where he’s revived his reputation and looks set to remain a top-level player for the rest of his prime years.

He made 155 senior appearances for Chelsea, not something you see every day for a homegrown talent. He also won a Premier League title, Europa League, and the UEFA Super Cup with 31 goal contributions to his name in that time,

Kerry Dixon

Kerry Dixon only had the number 14 jersey for a brief stint towards the end of his career but he remains one of the best to ever have the number. He is one of the top goalscorers in team history, a lot go which came in league competitions. He twice fired Chelsea out of the second division, including an impressive 28-goal debut season after joining from Reading as the Blues were promoted.
