A major Milan summit is taking place today, including Gerry Cardinale, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Geoffrey Moncada and Massimo Calvelli, but not Giorgio Furlani.
The Rossoneri are in action at San Siro tonight against Cagliari at 19.45 UK time (20.45 CEST).
A victory would guarantee qualification for the Champions League, but anything less than that opens up the possibility of missing out on the top four.
Cardinale, who is the head of owner RedBird, flew in from America to be present at the big match this evening.
Before that, he is already dealing with the power struggle behind the scenes, with reported clashes between coach Max Allegri and special advisor Ibrahimovic, then between director of sport Igli Tare and CEO Furlani.
It is believed that two of these men will be pushed out at the end of the season, but which ones remain is not decided yet.
MilanNews spotted Ibrahimovic, Cardinale and RedBird Development Group CEO Calvelli at lunch together this afternoon at a noted local hotel.
As the encounter wore on, technical director and chief scout Moncada also arrived to join the group.
Notable absentees, however, were Furlani and Tare.
Allegri inevitably was not present, seeing as he is preparing the decisive final match of the season.
