Bologna hold firm stance over Man City-linked Lucumí

Reports in Italy claim that Bologna are unwilling to sell Jhon Lucumí in January despite a potential interest from Manchester City, while Lazio are in talks to sign Giovanni Fabbian.

Bologna won’t listen to offers for Colombian centre-back Lucumí even if the 27-year-old has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.

Bologna unwilling to sell Lucumi but contract talks stall

Lucumí was targeted by Sunderland last summer and Bologna are now struggling to reach an agreement to extend the defender’s contract beyond 2027.

According to English sources and Il Resto Del Carlino, even Manchester City are interested in Lucumí, although the Bologna defender’s entourage hasn’t yet held talks with the Premier League giants who are looking for defensive reinforcements in January.

Lazio push to sign Fabbian

Il Resto Del Carlino adds that Lazio are ready to offer €12m for Bologna midfielder Fabbian.

The Rossoblu have asked for €15m plus add-ons, but the Italian midfielder is tempted to join the Biancocelesti, where he’d be once again deployed as a box-to-box midfielder under Maurizio Sarri.
