Ange-Yoan Bonny has sprained his left ankle, so he’ll miss Sunday’s Serie A match against Atalanta, Inter have confirmed.
Inter confirmed an injury to their striker, Bonny, on Tuesday.
“Following an injury in yesterday’s training session, Ange-Yoan Bonny underwent medical examinations this morning at the Humanitas Institute in Rozzano,” the Serie A table leaders said in a statement.
“The tests revealed a minor sprain in his left knee. His condition will be reassessed next week.”
This means Bonny will miss next Sunday’s Serie A match against Atalanta at the New Balance Arena in Bergamo.
Bonny, 22, has scored five goals and provided six assists in 20 appearances across all competitions this season.
Gazzetta reports that Bonny suffered his injury during a training session at Pinetina.
The former Parma striker is expected to return to action in January 2026, although his exact recovery time remains uncertain.
Bonny is in his first season at Inter, having moved to San Siro last summer in a €23m deal from Parma. He has signed a contract until June 2030.
The French forward has made two appearances with Les Bleus’ U21 squad, but has yet to make his senior international debut.
