Bournemouth are keen on a move for Genoa defender Koni De Winter, but the player prefers a move to Inter Milan.
This according to Italian outlet FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are reportedly keen on Genoa defender Koni De Winter.
The Belgian has impressed this season for Il Grifone. He has been one of the outstanding young defenders in Serie A.
And the defense is certainly one area of the pitch where Inter will want to strengthen.
The Nerazzurri are looking to revitalize their backline. They are well aware that they cannot rely on veterans like Francesco Acerbi and Stefan de Vrij forever.
Moreover, the possibility of a sale of Yann Bisseck this summer would mean even more of a need to sign a defender.
FCInterNews report that Premier League club Bournemouth are also eyeing up a deal for De Winter.
The outlet report that the Belgian is not overly convinced of a switch to the Cherries, however.
Instead, FCIN report, De Winter would like to join Inter this summer.
However, the former Juventus defender will not wait around forever for the Nerazzurri,
And particularly if another big club that could offer De Winter Champions League football were to come in for him, then he could change his mind.
