Bradley Barcola has spoken about how Paris Saint-Germain are getting ready to handle Chelsea’s high-energy game when the two sides meet in the Champions League.
Chelsea are getting ready for a tough test against PSG, as they face them away from home in the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie.
The build-up has been dominated by talk about what happened during the Club World Cup final, especially with all the attention around Luis Enrique and Joao Pedro’s clash.
With the change in management, the Blues’ previous results are no longer relevant. Enrique has successfully motivated his squad, and it will be compelling to observe how Liam Rosenior manages his team.
In that context, Barcola appears confident that PSG have a good idea of what to expect from Chelsea’s style of play under their new manager.
Speaking alongside the Spanish manager at the PSG press conference, Barcola spoke about how his team have prepared for what they expect to see from Chelsea.
“They’re going to bring a lot of intensity. We’ve worked on that defensively and offensively, we’re ready.
“We don’t have any sense of revenge because it wasn’t the same period, nor the same competition. We know it’s a very good team. We know it’s going to be tough, but we’ve worked well. They’re in good form, they’re playing well. We really like these matches, the best ones to play,” he concluded.
Barcola replaced Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the 59th minute during PSG’s 3-0 defeat, but since then he has established himself as a key part of the squad.
