The Premier League will have a couple of games on New Year's Day, and one of them is a London Derby between Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur. The two teams won their previous match in the Premier League.

Both teams are only one point apart in the Premier League, with Brentford on 26 points and Spurs on 25 points.

Brentford is 9th in the league with a record of eight wins, two draws, and eight losses after 17 league matches played. Bentford have two consecutive wins in the Premier League, with their most recent over the weekend against Bournemouth.

They defeated Bournemouth 4-1 at home with a hat trick from Kevin Schade and an own goal from Bournemouth goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

Tottenham is 13th in the league table with a record of seven wins, four draws, and seven losses after 18 Premier League games. In their previous match, Spurs went away to Crystal Palace and won 1-0.

A header from Archie Gray in the first half was enough for Spurs to get the crucial three points that pushed them higher in the league table.
