Brighton boss De Zerbi praises Hinshelwood and Pedro for Spurs rout

Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi was proud of his players after their 4-2 win against Tottenham.

Brighton were 4-0 up through Jack Hinshelwood, Joo Pedro (2 penalties) and Pervis Estupin, before two late Spurs goals.

De Zerbi said: "We played a great, great, great game. Tottenham are an incredible team. Before the game I said I have a big, big respect for Ange Postecoglou because they play incredible football. I am proud of our performance because we played a really good team."

On Pedro: "I think he was the best player on the pitch. His perforamnce was incredible and he played a great game. He played with incredible quality and attacked the space every time. I am happy for him."

On Hinshelwood, he continued: "He is improving, he is older than his age. His personality and his attitude makes him an important player for us.

"We were unlucky in the their first goal and to play 70 minutes how we did, we have to decide what we want to be. For it we have to accept the last 20 minutes. We suffered because Tottenham are one of the best in the Premier League.

"We were leading 4-0 but after the first goal back we accepted this from Tottenham. We felt like a lion and for that I am happy with the first 70 minutes and for the last 20 minutes as well."
