Bryan Mbeumo goes down injured during Manchester United training

Bryan Mbeumo has emerged as one of Manchester United’s most important attacking players, making his latest training-ground scare particularly concerning ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.

The Cameroon international joined United from Brentford in July 2025, having scored 20 Premier League goals during his final season in west London.

He quickly established himself at Old Trafford, finishing his debut campaign as United’s joint-leading goalscorer with 12 goals in all competitions.

Mbeumo has continued delivering this season, scoring three times in six Premier League appearances.

His latest strike came against Tottenham on Saturday, although United surrendered their advantage against ten men and eventually drew 1-1.

Michael Carrick’s side now face another difficult European assignment, with several important players already unavailable.

Manuel Ugarte remains sidelined after undergoing surgery on the cruciate ligament injury he suffered during the summer.

Benjamin Sesko is struggling with a recurring shin problem, while Patrick Dorgu faces several weeks out with a hamstring injury.

Tom Heaton is also unavailable, with Matthijs de Ligt another fitness concern ahead of the trip to Spain.

With United already struggling for consistency, any further setback involving Mbeumo would be particularly unwelcome.

And footage from a recent training session has now captured the attacker going down following a challenge from a teammate.

Bryan Mbeumo involved in Manchester United training scare

Footage shared by Hayters TV on Instagram shows Mbeumo falling to the ground during a Manchester United training session.

Leny Yoro appears to challenge for the ball before catching the forward, who immediately lets out a loud cry.

Young defender Harry Amass can also be seen nearby as the incident unfolds.

Fortunately, Hayters TV indicated that the incident did not appear serious, offering some reassurance ahead of Tuesday’s fixture.

There has been no confirmation of an injury or suggestion that Mbeumo will miss the Atletico Madrid encounter.

With Carrick already short of options, United will be hoping their influential attacker remains fully available for the trip to Spain.
