Manchester United’s goalkeeping department has looked very different over the last 12 months.
Senne Lammens has proven to be a breath of fresh air between the sticks after arriving at Old Trafford from Royal Antwerp.
The Belgian goalkeeper enjoyed an outstanding debut campaign.
He was even recognised with the Premier League Signing of the Season award.
The 23-year-old has given supporters plenty of optimism heading into the new campaign.
A former United shot-stopper, however, is now preparing for a fresh chapter elsewhere.
Burnley officially confirmed on their website than an experienced goalkeeper will leave Turf Moor when his contract expires at the end of the month,
The player is Martin Dubravka.
The 37-year-old only joined the Clarets last summer but will depart after a single season at the club.
The Slovakia international made 35 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign and was part of the Burnley squad that finished 19th, suffering relegation to the Championship.
He arrived from Newcastle United and quickly established himself as an important figure in the Burnley squad.
However, the club’s retained list has now confirmed that Martin Dubravka and fellow goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky will both leave following the expiry of their contracts on 30 June.
Manchester United supporters will remember Dubravka’s brief spell at Old Trafford during the 2022/23 season.
The experienced goalkeeper joined the Red Devils on loan from Newcastle.
He made two senior appearances before returning to St James’ Park midway through the campaign.
Dubravka would later head back to Newcastle before completing a permanent switch to Burnley ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Burnley’s official announcement also confirmed that discussions remained ongoing with Axel Tuanzebe and Ashley Barnes, while James Ward-Prowse will return to West Ham United after his loan spell.
For Dubravka, though, his time at Turf Moor has officially come to an end.
After just one season with the Clarets, the former United goalkeeper will now become a free agent as he searches for the next destination of his career.
